This photograph is a sectional view of an old house bathed in late afternoon sun on a cold winter evening.

This photograph depicts a section of an old house, typical of that found in Newfoundland and Labrador before the turn of the century and during the heyday of the fishery. I photographed this old house on a cold winter evening. The sun was sinking and I decided not to use my tripod (plus it was very cold and I wanted to shoot quickly). I bumped up my ISO for a faster shutter speed and was careful to align the horizontal and vertical lines of the house with the bottom and sides of the view finder.
